To get Ben interested in reading and writing, we let him write his own stories. He tells us the story and we help him sound out each word so he can write it.. just a way for him to practice writing.. then he can keep the story to read later..
His stories are really random.. here is last night's: "The dog sees the cat. The raccoon took the cat.".. greatness..

hah! very good idea. does he take requests? i would like for him to write me a story about what he thinks grace and alex will do together this summer in arkansas.

I think this is a good idea. We would like to hear what he thinks about coming to our house on the Fourth of July.
